"Great value for money"Posted: Wed, Dec 31 1969Value:
3We have stayed at the Ibis Emke during Easter 2006 for 75 euro per night, per room. It is a very convenient hotel for public transportation (metro and tram). We highly recommend buying the 1,2 or 3 day transportation card and use the trams. A fantastic way to travel in Budapest, very fast and reliable.
The hotel was all right, with a bigger room than Ibis in other countries. The reception staff were very helpful and polite, called the Szecheny baths on Easter Monday to check if they were open (they were not), phoned a good taxi company for us to go to the airport on our return and kept our suitcases in their locker after checking out on our last day. The only thing we found a bit strange was there was not a spare pillow and hairdryer in the room. These items are usualy found in all Ibis hotels everywhere. There may be a different policy in Hungary, I guess.
