Nice and big, clean, with comfortable sofa and chairs, very comfortable beds and a lovely view of the river. Recommended one wonderful restaurant after another. My favourite feature was the hotel wave pool - which functions for 5 minutes every hour in the large outdoor pool. Hotel bistro was fine, but breakfast each day was just a shade under expectations, which is why it gets 4 and not a full 5 dot rating from me.. Read review

The room had a balcony overlooking the Danube and was large and nicely furnished. The Gellert is attached to the Gellert Spa and you can reach this from within the hotel. As a guest you have free access to the spa which is fantastic! Brilliant outdoor swimming but exceptional indoor pools and themal...... The staff were great, they treated everyone with great respect, but were chatty and helpful and very down to earth too. The hotel is lovely and has bags of character and charm - the stained glass panels on each floor are just lovely, and the lift just for guests going down to the baths is really quirky!......
