This hotel is ideally situated. It is walking distance to the metro station and the pedestrian streets with all the shops and restaurants. The room is somewhat small, but it is air conditioned. The staff takes a while to warm up, but they eventually do. There is wifi for a charge available in the room, but not through the hotel. It is a private firm. I used it and found it to be very good.

Friendly staff and clean, average rooms all close to the centre make this a good value stay. The breakfast was average and could be better. The room was quiet, located at the back of the hotel and comfortable.

For background, I went there expecting an average hotel and for a work trip. My stay was 4 nights. Overall, I can't think of anything negative to say about this hotel. The location is good - minutes from the metro and shops, bars, and the Danube. The road it's on never felt overly busy. The rooms were basic and non-descript in their decor. However they were very clean and neat. The bathroom was fine with no bath but a great shower. A shower cap was provided and generic shower/shampoo came out of a dispenser. The wardrobe has lots of hangers and the air conditioning worked brilliantly. There was some noise from outdoors but not enough to be a problem, and the bed was large and comfy. The service was good. As mentioned by other reviewers, the receptionists are not smiley and chatty but they were helpful and polite. Other staff were, however, more 'enthusiastic'. The bar is good - try the Muscat white wine, it's a little over ?1 and delicious. I booked on the hotel website for best rates and pestered them for email confirmation. This hotel is in a good spot with good facilities and with good service. If you are looking to compromise in the room decor (old fashioned), a bath and luxuries, this hotel is brilliant. I would definitely stay here again.
