My friend and I stayed in the Astoria over New Year 2006/07. The Hotel was great. Lovely rooms if a little dated in style but freshly decorated, clean and newly installed bathrooms. The breakfasts were great, everything you could think of and more! The staff were very friendly and professional with no request being too much. I would certainly stay here again and would recommend it to other travellers. Not only is the Hotel great but it's in the perfect location. Two Hogmanay Revellers from Edinburgh

Location is convenient. It is within walking distance from all central major sites. It is just a few hundred meters further than the cluster of the major international five star hotels. The metro is located just in front of the front door. It is very enjoyable for people who appreciate staying in historical buildings which preserve intact their original ambiance. The hotel has been renovated and is in excellent shape. Excellent value for money

WE SPENT 3 NIGHTS IN BUDAPEST, WE ENJOYED OUR STAY IN THIS HOTEL LOCATED IN THE HEARTH OF THE CITY AND VERY CONFORTABLE FOR ANY KIND OF PEOPLE. WE LIKED THE HOTEL AND THE CITY AS WELL.

My two friends and I can't say enough about our stay at the Astoria. Our room was exceptionally appointed--two bedrooms, two bathrooms, plenty of sitting space. The remodelling has made everything fresh and clean. The location is ideal--right at a Metro stop and several bus and tram lines. The buffet breakfast included in the rate was wonderful--we didn't even need lunch after feasting on the wide array of food in the morning. Occasionally, we experienced a little "stuffiness" at the front desk, depending on who was there, but everyone else was very courteous, friendly and helpful.
