Le Manoir De Beaulieu - Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne, France 

Fantastic place! Beaulieu is a sleepy small town on the Dordogne river. The hotel is an old building that has been preserved and restored very tastefully. Our room was originally two rooms; one now formed the bedroom and the other the dressing room and bathroom. It was all freshly decorated and spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds and perfectly clean linen which seemed to be very new and expensive Service is first class - very, very friendly and efficient - we felt like old frineds, rather than customers. If there was one thing to criticise, it would be the carpets in our room - these were a sort of hessian material and were painful to walk on barefoot. Do try the restaurant as well - they have an adventurous chef who creates some unusal combinations, but the quality and presentation is superb. Again, very friendly and efficient service. On Friday mornings, twice a month, there is a market in the town so parking is tricky on a Thursday evening and the hotel only has limited space.

El hotel reformado totalmente, todo nuevo, tiene 3* por no tener ascensor ni aire acondicionado, sino podria aspirar a las 5* sin ninguna duda. El personal espectacular, la amabilidad en persona, todo lo que puedan para ayudarte y mas. Nosotros hemos estado en media pension y la cena es la mejor que hemos comido nunca, entre entrantes y detalles unos 8 platos, trato y profesionalidad de 1ª, al nivel de los grandes como Arzak, Subijana,etc, recomiendo reserva a media pension por 150€ por habitacion, de verdad un regalo. Por cierto todo el Perigord una maravilla (Sarlat, Rocamadour,etc) es la 2ª vez que vamos y seguro que no sera la ultima. Animaros y disfrutar.
