Landhotel Guglhupf - Schwangau, Germany     

My daughter and I booked a 3-day package at the hotel. On arrival we found it quite pleasant and room was clean and tidy, but to our dissappointment especially after my daughter driving for a solid 9 hours, there were no tea & coffee facilities in the room, to us a four star should have these available. Typical English but its the first thing you look forward to! Perhaps Bavarian hotels do not run to such hospitality! But maybe the travel agency should have been more informative, but our loss at the end of the day. We thought the prices of evening meals a little expensive so we chose to eat out. The breakfast however was very nice. We felt the most important ingrediant was missing, that being the enthusiasm and friendliness received. We felt almost that we were intruding and nervous about asking for anything. The views looking out to the rear towards the mountains were a definate 4 plus star rating if not more, so that made up for the rest. When we checked out to our amazement we got charged for two cups of HOT WATER (this being for a cuppa we made for ourselves, PG tea bags will travel!)
