Fantastic hotel! My room was very nice and quite spacious. The large windows allowed in plenty of fresh Spring air. The large sitting room was rather dimly lit but that appears to be a common trait in European hotels.
Situated across the street from the Franz Josef Bahnhof, I was able to take the train to work everyday with no problems. Two blocks down the street from the FJB was the Freidens Brucke metro station. Both rail systems were clean and ran like clockwork!
If I ever have the opportunity to return to Vienna I will definitely stay here.

Extremely well kept hotel with a very attractive Lobby, Bar and sitting area at the Reception. The Hotel is a good 25 minute walk from the city centre or a short ride on Tram D.
The rooms were nicely furnished and I had a feeling that they had just recently been decorated.
The staff were very helpful with any questions that we had.
There were a few bars and restaraunts in the surrounding area although to get a good meal, you would be best getting to the attractions in the centre.
The U-bahn was very easy to navigate also. Buy a 'Vienna Ticket' from any Tabak store which gets you three days worth of travel on both U-bahn and the trams. This would cost 13 euros.
All in all, I would recommend Vienna as a city and would most certainly go back to this Hotel. I am not sure that it merits a 4 star, but it was certainly a very pleasant stay.
I cannot comment on the food as we were room only.
