What Travellers Like

  • The Four Seasons Budapest is an excellent example of what a city center hotel should be: an escape from outside realities, while retaining every necessary convenience and luxury. Rather, I'll just say that its location is excellent, and the services it offers go above-and-beyond. The staff speaks English flawlessly, and the hotel is is clean, beautifully designed and very, very comfortable. It allowed us excellent views of the Danube and a step-out balcony without the traffic noise of lower-floor rooms. The Clarins spa is great, however make your appointments before you arrive at the hotel. Saturday afternoon is a good time for treatments, as most of Budapests shops close at 1 pm that day. Trust the concierge for dinner suggestions. The two restaurants they sent us to were pretty darn good for Eastern Europe. My 350-Euro room rate did not include the 18% VAT tax, and a 3% tourism charge!. Read review

  • All the praise is deserved 100 times over, including the amazing lap pool, sauna, and gym. In addition, the concierge staff will remember you after one stop, can answer 100 questions with completely accurate information, and will book concerts or whatever you need with efficiency and smiles. When it couldn't be fixed right away, I was immediately offered an upgrade (as if that's possible at the Four Seasons) and was helped to move to a river view (the only thing that could be better than an 'ordinary' room. Stay there just for the exhilaration of the palace and the exceptional food as well.. Read review

  • The location is perfect for both Buda and Pest. Arriving after midnight we were impressed to fid the full panoply of doormen and bellboys still at their stations and our bags were in the room before we were. We had booked a standard room but they upgraded us to the next level. The room was of a very high quality with an enormous bathroom and high ceilings but there was no "wow factor" to speak of - certainly not the view which was over an internal light well. Our rate included breakfast which we took in the room. We also ate in the Pava Restaurant and would highly recommend an evening there - excellent food and service at around £25 ($40) a head plus wine.. Read review

  • The hotel and the level of service is truly outstanding. We ate at the fine dining restaurant - Pava, which was excellent - as was the Gresham Cafe. The bar makes fabulous cocktails and is a great place to relax after dinner. The staff really cannot do enough for you and anticipate your every need. The breakfast was excellent with a huge variety to choose from.. Read review

  • Check in was freidly and efficient even though our room was just a superior king at a great rate from the hotels website at €199. 00 per room per night inclusive of american breakfast (The Gresham Breakfast), we were escorted to the room by the guy who checked us in and during this time he explained about the restaurants and the spa, pool & gym. The concierge booked both the city tour and the tour to Godollo with eurama for us and informed us of various cultural events taking place in the city. 00 for 2 with wine was truly excellent and service to match. Be warned bottled water is not cheap and can add €8. We availed of the spa, pool and gym located on the 5th floor which is flooded with natural morning sun light from the glass wall at one side. Each staff member we encountered was welcoming and polite, no surliness here.. Read review
