Hotel International - Zagreb, Croatia     

Hotel International is a big place catering to the business crowd. Very affordable rooms & restaurant. A little away from the city centre though.

My partner and I stayed at the Hotel International from 11-14 June 2007. It was our first visit to Croatia. Catch the Croatian Airlines bus from the airport and get off at the third (official) stop. Turn right and walk 200m to the Hotel International. The hotel itself is new, so the rooms were outstanding with modern decor and furnishings. Our room was large and clean and the bathroom spacious. The hotel does provide free internet via Wi-Fi and one computer in the reception. The reception computer can be temperamental and its better to go one block down where there is about three internet cafes that have high speed connections. Also in the next block is cafes and convenience stores. Found the reception and restaurant staff at this hotel to speak excellent english and generally very helpful with directions and assistance. They will change American Express travellers cheques and I actually got a better rate with the hotel than I did at the bank the previous day. There is three large lifts all operating in this hotel. The inclusive breakfast was excellent, ranged from hot food such as bacon, eggs sausages to continental breakfast of fruit, yoghurt, cereal, bread and pastries. Juices, tea and coffee also available. The dinner meals in the restaurant were also very good and the menu extensive and available with English translation. The hotel had its own bar, and there was also a mini-bar in the room. The town centre of Zagreb is approx a 10 minute walk away. The tram stop and local bus stop are both closeby to the hotel. We found the hotel to be good vaule for money especially with the included breakfast and would definately return.
