Hotel Central - Zagreb, Croatia     

Right across from the train station and trams going all directions are right in front of the hotel. THere was some noise from the trams at night, but really not too bad from the third floor. Room was big and clean. Bathroom was big, but shower was very small with a very unruly shower curtain. This is NOT a non-smoking hotel! Very smokey in the reception area, and what seems like the entire staff takes a smoke break on the third floor in the mornings. They do manage to get the smoke smell out of the rooms, but it is ever present everywhere else. Breakfast OK. However, you cannot serve yourself coffee/tea/water/juice at breakfast.....the staff keeps a watchful eye on all drinks.

We stayed two nights in the Hotel Central, with a group from the States. No one smiles, but they are efficient, good breakfasts, and perfect location. The rooms are small, but clean and comfortable. You'll be very happy here.
