Le Colombier - Colmar, France     

The hotel is very conveniently located just on the edge of the old section of Colmar, which is very picturesque. The hotel's rooms are nicely appointed, but there is really no A/C although they advertise that they have it. We were there in 90 degree weather, and our room was very hot. With the window open, the noise of the cars going over the cobblestone street was deafening, but we had to open the window or die of the heat in there. Also, the hotel has no parking. We had no problem because we were lucky enough to get a spot on the one side of the street where overnight parking was allowed, but there is certainly no certainty that this situation would happen all the time. We just never moved our car until we checked out. Walking through Colmar's old town is just great, though.
