I went there with My wife for a short trip round Hong Kong in January08. The room is really very small. Just big enough for the bed and another 2 feet on each side of the bed. Small bathroom as well but overall clean. Sound insulation is bad. Piping is very noisy at times. But with the price.... have to bear with it.
The neighborhood is quite seedy... but I guess that's the way it is in real life Hong Kong...
Right in the middle of MONG KOK and everything else. Walked to Temple Street, Lady's street, and actually if you take a leisurely strooll can actually reach Tsim sha jui in about 40-50minutes down the Nathan Road.
Many small restaurants in the neighbourhood. Went into one near temple street where we saw a huge crowd of local Hongkong people lining up... Great food with the specialty of Oyster Fried Goose Eggs...
The Fa Yun Market also nearby... bout 15 minutes walk... lots of cheap clothes to buy.. cheaper than Ladies' Street.
Most worth-it deal is managed to get a late Lunch offer at one of the chain local steakhouse just behind the hotel... Bout HK$90 for 2...
All in all... just a convenient place to stay... nothing to shout about in terms of room

Excellent budget hotel located in the heart of Mongkok.
Remember this is Hong Kong and rooms are much smaller than Europe and tiny compared to US standards. The standard rooms are small, ideal for one person, but a very tight squeeze for two.
This hotel is used mostly by Chinese with few Americans and Europeans, which is quite refreshing.
On arrival at Hong Kong airport it is advisable to get the tourist information to write the hotel name in Chinese so you show it to your cab driver. Take the airport express to Kowloon then get a cab it will cost you HK$50 including tip.
When you check in you will be required to pay HK$100 deposit for the a/c control, remember to take it back to reception when you check-out.
Before handing over your credit card I would check the room to make sure you know what you are getting for your money!
The bathroom is a wet room - shower, wc and basin all in one cupboard!
Comfortable bed and clean bedding, linen changed 3 times a week. Small towels (bring your own) Slippers, kettle, free local telephone calls and TV. Wireless is available in the lobby.
The hotel is non-smoking, but there is a smoking area on the 4th floor.
Helpful reception who will provide you with maps and tell you where to eat.
The hotel is situated in the heart of Mongkok. There are girlie bars, massage parlours all within seconds of the hotel.
The seating area outside the hotel is also used for drug dealing at night.
Don't let this put you off, this is the real Hong Kong and the area is safe and is protected by the local triads.
There is a great noodle bar, two doors away, Lay-lee speaks good English and will make you very welcome! There is a tradtional Shanghai restaurant opp. next to Wings cafe. There is no menu in English, just smile and point. They will feed you like a king for HK$50
Everything is nearby. The 7/11 is 24hours and they will charge up the battery on your mobile phone for HK$10. Sunshine laundry is on Portland Street and is amazingly cheap!
Temple Street (night market) is 10 minutes walk away.
A brilliant located budget hotel for those that want to experience the real Hong Kong.
