We planned a last minute trip out to LA and decided to book the hotel through Hotwire. Hotwire has never done us wrong and gave us four star hotels in Century City the last time we used it. So, I assumed hotwire would do the same thing, but I was wrong!! Like many, we were excited to stay at a Westin but staying at this hotel was like staying at a 2-3 star hotel. First off, parking is horrible!!! We were not going to pay $47 to park it overnight so we parked at the World Trade Center for $9.90. Second, once we got to the room, we noticed how outdated and dirty it was. The bathtub was peeling and hair, that was noticeably not ours, was lying all over the place. And to top off that, they did a monthly fire alarm testing for 30 minutes in the morning!!!! This is by far the worst place I have ever stayed at and the best part was finally leaving the hotel. My suggestion, spend the extra $47 dollar elsewhere.. especially if it has free parking. I would never again stay at this place.

PARKING TIP : park next door at the World Trade Center, overnight parking costs 9.90$ and you can pick up your car by 10:30 am!!! If you look well enough you might even find metered parking at night, so if you remove your car by 6-7am you park for free. Anyway there are a bunch of other options around, Marriott included (16$ overnight). We checked in at 2 am on June 30th, no line (of course!), the lady at the front desk told us the hotel was almost fully booked (I had a priceline res.) so she would put us in a wheelchair accessible room, right by the elevators. I knew from previous posters this is the "standard" priceline room, or at least is the same story they tell priceline customers. The room was larger than usual, which was a nice thing. The elevators did not bother us at all, we did not hear them, while we could clearly hear police and ambulances on Figureoa St. Everything was clean and spotless. We were located on the 25th floor, which is the first floor available to SPG members (remember to provide your SPG numer even on priceline reservations). The view was nothing special. The TV worked well. The only downside was the sink, it was leaking from both handles but we did not bother to call the front desk (we spent very little time in our room). Do yourself a favour and go to the Bonavista Lounge, the view is spectacular and worth every penny of the overpriced drinks (by US standards, by EU standards it was business as usual). The concierge desk was very helpful and directed us to a great Mexican restaurant a few blocks down on Figueroa. The front desk and security did a great job when I left my car keys in the lounge (it is closed until 6 pm), they helped me out to recover them, and in a matter of 10 minutes I was driving my car. The area is really safe at night, it is just a bit deserted. All in all a great experience, considered the price (85$ with taxes) paid.
