Stayed here for about 4 nights and concluded that the service was great, the food was amazing and the room was comfortable. The only thing was that we were surprised about was that we were the only non-couples staying at the hotel. Elounda is a nice place if you want to just relax ( there is a Six Senses Spa close to the hotel), but we didnt have any expectations and had just come from Santorini, which was more active and lively. There was a wide range of foods for breakfast and dinner, in fact we liked the dinner so much we sort of preferred it to leaving the hotel to eat! And the very helpful waitress from the restaurant actually went through every dish and told us what we could and could not eat (I don't eat meat). Overall it was a gr8 experience :)

My husband and I stayed at the Elounda Palm for 5 days. We booked a standard room which was clean and a good size. The view from the balcony was in particular beautiful with a good view of the sea. My only complaint would be that although the room had a mini fridge (not mini bar) that you can stock up on your own drinks, no glasses were provided and no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, it just needed that extra 'special touch' to make this hotel a 4 star. The breakfast was good enough to keep you going til lunch and the pool area was kept nice and clean with plenty of sunbeds for all guests. 'No service' around the pool for drinks which you had to go and get yourself at the pool bar which was no big deal and again needs that 'extra touch' to make this hotel a 4 star. All in all a good hotel, a little bit isolated but there is a bus stop up the road which goes to Ayios Nikolaos and as long as you know the bus times (ask reception) then your okay. In Elounda village itself we found the best place to eat was Vritomartes. We also went to Ayios Nikolaos and found some nice restaurants there, Okeanos and Pelagos are great places for fresh fish. We loved Crete and hope to return some day soon. I would recommend Elounda Palm Hotel and i'm glad we stayed there, but next time we go we will stay in Ayios Nikolaos as its a bit more lively has better shopping and more restaurants to choose from and its a lot more quieter that i thought it would be.
