My boyfriend and I stayed in the Barocco for 3 nights in late June. We booked with lastminute and paid a bit extra for a classic room (vs standard room) in the Annex part of the hotel which is a group of rooms located in the fairly posh apartment block just next door to the hotel (

We stayed at the Hotel Barocco in May 2008 and were most impressed with the service and the breakfast.
We were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a mini-suite with a full bath and another half bath. Both were wonderfully outfitted in marble. It turns out this brings up the only downside to our stay, our tub had a leak and would make a puddle on the floor. At first we just thought this was us not being careful with the shower curtain, so we didn't say anything until checkout. Other than this, the room and hotel were great.
The location is good if you don't mind walking a bit or taking public transportation. There was also a taxi stand just across the piazza which was nice.
The included breakfast had a wonderful variety of meats, cheeses, pastries, eggs, fresh blood orange juice, cereal and fruit. We always looked forward to starting our day here and all of this wonderful food would allow us to eat a light lunch on the go.
Use the hotel to arrange their private car for your trip to the airport. We used this on our way out of town and we should have used it more. The car and driver were great.
