We stayed in the Princess of Naxos during 3 nights in August 2007. The manager is very friendly and the rooms are clean. But, we've been charged 140 € / night and it's far too expensive (even if August is a very busy month). Indeed, there's no swimming pool, breakfast is poor, and the road (between the hotel and the beach) is noisy. In my view, this hotel would be worth it, if the room had been something like 60 or 70 € / night.

We stayed for one week at the Princess of Naxos in late June 2007. We booked via the hotels website and found the descriptions and service to be accurate and exact. The manager Vagellis Katsaris was extremely helpful whether it was meeting us at the port, laundry or booking local tour options (Does this guy ever sleep!).
The hotel is on the edge of town and across the road from the beach (windsurfing). Every day we had a delightful walk into town depending on where we wanted to go. The nearest good swimming beach with the usual deck chairs and bar etc is about 200 meters away. The hotel rooms are clean, very comfortable, with all requirements eg Fridge A/C, tables etc. We had requested a sea view room and we were delighted with the views and the opportunity to watch the sun go down every night.
The cost in late June was 40 Euros per night (including breakfast) which was excellent value. The breakfasts were simple and fresh - bread, eggs, cheese ham, fruit and hot drinks, all served with a smile!
We would certainly stay in this hotel again!
