Have to say after reading the British reviews on this site I was a bit scared! But my cousin and i decided that if the food was that bad we would just live off chips and salad! I booked the holiday through a site which arranged flights and hotel, but we had to make our own transfers. I decided that as there was only two of us we should risk it and get a taxi at the airport. Worked out really well. We walked out of the airport only to be greeted by a taxi man who popped us and our cases in the taxi. We were a bit surprised when another couple joined us, but was ok. Only cost 20Euros!! The hotel reception lady was very helpful. All reception staff spoke fluent english (and german) and directed us to our room. I was a bit disappointed that we didn't have a little lad to help us with cases, but as it was just down a few steps and down a corridoor it wasn't so bad. Upon arriving to our room I was fairly happy. Wasn't expecting much though! Good size bathroom, with a shower that was a cubical as opposed to skanky shower curtain! Amazing view of the sea too. We had a walk around the hotel to see where everything was. We were quite surprised to see that hardly anyone was british! All german, dutch, russian, and french - mainly german though. Everyone was friendly enough though, just not many more people to talk to. The bar man was amazing and kepy me entertained no end! Kept the ouzo flowing - until 11pm when the all inclusive package closed. Even so, the drinks were not expensive. It cost me 12Euros for 4 alcoholic drinks. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were good. There were a few questionable looking dishes put out, but I just opted for what I thought I knew! I had bacon and eggs etc most mornings, but there was a good range of cereals, fruit, cheeses and even cake! Lunch was pretty similar to dinners, but there was always chips, pasta, rolls etc so was ok. Dinner was good. They had the most amazing vegetable spring rolls on a few nites. Again, there was chips, salad, pasta, and a wide range of meats and soup. Icecream was also available at every meal. The pool was nice and plenty of sun beds! If you prefer beaches, there was one a 2 minute walk down a very steep hill - would only recommend going down there if you are fit enough to get back up! It was sandy with clear water and some watersports on offer. Not much to do in the resort, but cost 5euros to get to Rhodes Town which is lovely with lots of shops, restaurents and bars along the sea front! The only thing I could moan a bit about was that the rooms were a bit run down, but there was a new section of the hotel that was very nice. The room that we stayed in didn't even use the key-cards. Just a set of keys with a magnet for power! It is perfect for a relaxing holiday...perhaps not the best place if you are after a Faliraki type holiday though!
