My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Varonos for two nights in May 2008. We chose this Delphi hotel after consulting TripAdvisor and several guidebooks. We were a little apprehensive, since so few hotels in Delphi seemed to rise even to mediocrity. Our general feeling at the time was that the Varonos appeared to be the best of a rather bad lot in what is, after all, little more than a tourist trap.
Indeed, while our stay at the Varonos was not a bad one, it was very far from our best in Greece. We had a magnificent view from the decent-sized balcony, and the owner was very friendly, though in a somewhat artificial way. There was also a computer with free Internet. The hotel was conveniently located within walking distance of the archaeological sites, and we had no issues with noise at night. Finding parking wasn't easy, but this would no doubt be true for anywhere in town.
However, the breakfast was poor, and the hotel was clearly in need of a good dusting. My general impression of the decor was one of unmitigated kitsch. The owner's pets were also scattered about randomly, and not surprisingly I found myself a bit congested after spending time indoors. We had been assured that the room would have a safe, but to our surprise we had to ask for one to be brought up. Call me paranoid, but a minuscule little box that anyone could pick up and slip away with didn't fill me with confidence. The room was basic, with a rather tiny shower. The toilet had a special self-cleaning system that make very odd noises at regular intervals, though it didn't keep us from falling asleep.
You'll have to decide for yourself if you can tolerate these faults, based on your own judgment of the other hotels on offer.

Stayed here one night whilst touring the Pelopenese and it was the worst of all the 5 hotels we used. It seems very dark and almost a bit gothic horror when you walk in. Lots of bits and bobs and clutter and dark woods The dining room is downstairs and it felt a bit strange as we had to walk through it every tme to get to our room. Definitely the whole place smells 'funny' - not a pleasant smell at all, very musty, and you got the feeling that every thing could do with a real good clean. Found the bathroom small and the towels tiny and the beds quite soft - watch your back! One good point though, we had ordered a 3 bed room for us and our 9 year old son and were given a proper bed, not a sofa or trundle bed.
Breakfast was OK.
Town itself was a bit of a miss, and I agree that the guidebooks can't be believed as the sites closed at 3pm not 7, meaning due to our timetable, we only saw the gymnasium and one temple , neither of which were within the perimeter fence of the main site.- but we had that problem at Olympia as well
The views from the hotel are good, but not enough to compensate for eveything elseIf this is no.1 in Delphi I dread to think what some of the others are like!
