Excellent Hotel for a great Price!

I have been to Greece many times and stayed in 4 and 5 star hotels in Athens in the past and do to a last minute trip I could not get a decent hotel at a decent price so I had no choice but to book a 3 star property. I was shocked at how nice this hotel really was. Hotel was very Clean..Rooms were spotless clean, bigger and much nicer than 4 and 5 star properties. Beautiful Bathroom with great water pressure which is unusual for Athens. Excellent Location. I felt very safe to walk around at night on my own. I'm going to Athens again in 2 weeks, and I'm very disappointed that I can't stay at this hotel again due to no Availability. I will definately be back!

If location is a high priority on your itenerary then you might want to consider the Esperia Palace but be forewarned. Upon checking in, my wife and were able to walk up to the top of the Acropolis monument within an hour. This hotel has a great location but so do many others. This is about the only good thing I can say about this place, from here it goes down hill. For me the most important asset of a hotel is a good night's sleep, this was not had at the Esperia. The rooms are not comfortable and have an awkward smell, guests are allowed to romp and scream through the halls at all hours of the morning (calls to the front desk went unanswered as did the complaint at the front desk the next morning) and there were some definite safety hazards in our room such as the panic cord falling off in the shower exposing copper wire. As for protecting valuables, you must check them in with the front desk (a must as the guest room doors are not very secure) for which they make you feel like they're doing you a favor and get annoyed when you check them back out. For the price we should have gone down the street to the St. George or Bretagne. My understanding is this is an "A" rated hotel; could've fooled me.

Very good location, very complaisant staff, we stayed a week in this hotel. I travelled with my disabled sister. Many transport links, the metro station is very close, many museums in the vicinity. The staff was very helpfull - we get a room without a good view and we stayed only a night in it. We get a good room on the 9th floor with a large balcony - 9 to 2 m I think. The view was excellent - you see the Acropolis on your left side and Licabetus on your rigt. Very good breakfast. In the hurry of our departure we had some problems with our luggage, lost documents and tickets, the staff was in our disposition until the last moment of our stay in that hotel. If we'll travel again to Athens we would choose the same hotel. I post 2-3 photos here - the balkony, the lobby on the 9th floor and the breakfast place. Thank you all for your kindness!
