Hotel Electra was a great place. The rooms were nice and clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. My husband and I needed help several times while in Athens. The staff at the front desk were more than willing to help us. The location is central, in a perfect place. I would recommend this hotel to friends!

Lovely hotel in the Plaka

We were with a private tour of 30 friends and stayed at the Hotel Electra on Ermou Street near the Plaka. At first, I was turned off by the Plaka because it is very touristy but the narrow streets grew on me as I explored the area. Lots of shops and restuarants. We loved the hotel. Our room had a balcony overlooking the Acropolis. Very stunning view at night. The hotel had a large and varied breakfast buffet which was included with our room. There was outdoor patio for drinks in the afternoon at street level plus a patio near the restuarant upstairs for drinks overlooking the Acropolis. We walked to the National Archelogical Museum after we arrived at the hotel. Probably a two mile walk mostly on closed streets which are lined with shops. I highly recommend the museum. We only spent two days in Athens and I would have liked more but I like museums and touring ruins.
