Just got back from two nights at Hotel Diva. This may be the best deal in Athens! First, it was VERY inexpensive for being a metro stop from key points of interest in Athens. Second, it most definitely felt like we were staying in a greek neighborhood and not a tourist block. Our room was clean and looked exactly like the pictures on the website. When we walked up the stairs to our room , the high ceilings, marble winding staircase and detailed trim all gave the feeling that the hotel was a grand home that was converted to a hotel--real personality! The staff was very helpful, both before our arrival and the whole time we were there. They were accommodating and professional. The bar area was especially nice, and the drinks were the cheapest I saw in all of Greece. The mini fridge in our room was an additional plus--and there is a true grocery store on Patison Avenue (the main road nearby) to get supplies. We used the Metro to get here, and if you had a LOT of luggage, you would find the walk arduous. Since we were coming from the islands, we were already quite mobile, so it was no problem. But pack light or take a short taxi ride from the metro if you have heavy bags. As others have said, it is about a 20 minute walk from Victoria Station (Blue Iine)--a previous reviewer gave solid walking directions that you should follow. On your walk on Patison, you will find many shops, food stops and even a Starbucks (!?). We walked this in early morning, late at night and in the middle of the day--and always felt safe. Overall, I would recommend this to folks on a budget who aren't looking to stay at a "tourist" trap.

Nice but too far and too noisy

Luckily me and my husband only decided to stay one night in Athens , but we already cannot stand the problem while staying here. The room is nice but too noisy around the room especially at night, you can hear people talking, walking around and door open and close's sound...and another big problem is the distance of the hotel, you need to walk around 25-30 minutes from the nearest victoria station to the hotel and especially at night the hotel surrounding area is quiet cause most of the shop are close at that area, walking at night at that area seem like a bit not safe...that is what we are facing while walking on the street near the hotel after coming back at around 9pm something from victoria station and if you are having some heavy luggage , do not stay at this hotel cause it does not have a elevator at all....beside the above all here, the others are okay...
