Close to the metro, big rooms and big bathrooms (for Greece!), and the area isn't as bad as the poster below makes out.... I was with two friends (we are all females in our early 20s), and we had no problems at all... We never felt unsafe in the area at night. The staff are helpful and speak good English. The breakfast was ok, and we stayed on the 3rd floor. The traffic and the noise wasn't too bad at all, and we were at the front! :)

Stayed here as part of a trip to Greece with several other students. In comparison to our stay at the Tobacco Hotel in Thessaloniki (a great hotel!), this hotel was much less hospitable. First of all, the service was NOT GOOD. There was not always a receptionist available, and when there was he/she was sometimes rude and not helpful. The rooms had awkward layouts, and the sheets caused rashes for a few people in the group. Our fridge didn't work, and the showers were not properly covered so water always got all over the floor. Also, the area is a bit dodgy, especially Omonia Square. Overall, it was another reason our stay in Thessaloniki was much more pleasant than in Athens.
