We stayed at the Grand Athena for 4 nights from the 26th August. The room was clean and tidy and spacious. The bathroom was always maintained in an excellent condition. The hotel is located in a good area, central to most of the city attractions. The hotel staff provided an excellent level of service. The staff at the reception desk were very helpful in all aspects. The bellboys were also extremely helpful, always watching when you enter and leave and assisting wherever possible. The breakfast was very nice. The kitchen was under construction so we were not able have dinner there, however that was not a problem as the hotel is in a good location.

We enjoyed our stay very much; the hotel is not in the main touristic area but it is within 5 to 10 minutes walking distance of most places. It is a funky and stylish hotel. Rooms are not that big but they are nicely done. Staff is friendly.

lot of hype and less substance. neighborhood a little scary after dark.convenient location, within walking distance to Plaka.

Great location! Breakfast is overpriced at 20 Euros ... cafes are nearby. Our room was the Spiderman room ... not really my style, but it was clean and comfortable. Had a small balcony, which was nice. Hotel decor is on the funky side, but, for the price and location, I'd go back.

The location was great. The rooms I think can vary within a price bracket e.g. my daughter booked the same type of room as us, Double Graffiti Deluxe, but her room did not have a stereo system at all whereas we did and the bed was not a double, but two singles. So I guess it lacks a little consistency.
