Attalos Hotel - Athens, Greece 

Travellers, you simply cannot beat this hotel!!!

As seasoned Greek travellers for many years, travelling via Athens has always presented problems in getting a good but cheap hotel, convenient to all the Greek atractions! The Attalos fulfils this admirably. The friendly staff, good prices and clean large rooms are all good enough, but the location is superb for the Plaka, Acropolis, Psirri, Ermou Street and Syndagma. Special note should be taken of the rooftop bar, which is open throughout the year, unlike most of the competitors who only keep such bars open in the summer tourist season! Also recommended is the breakfast - superb value, coffee not bad at all, and multiple cups of coffee first thing in the morning are a necessity! We will simply be going back to the Attalos time and time again - you just can't beat it!

Good Hotel at Great Location

The Attalos staff were always friendly and helpful. We stayed in two different rooms, arrival and departure from Athens, and both rooms were clean, pleasant and well organized. Both bathrooms were clean and functional. The Hotel is right at the center of tourism including Plaka, Psirri, Acropolis and shopping of all sorts. All the major tourist sights are within walking distance. It was nice to have a drink at the Roof Top Bar and look at the Acropolis lit up at night. The neighborhood around the Attalos felt safe to us. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Very Good Room, Reasonable Price, Great Location

Hotel Attalos is an inexpensive hotel located in the Plaka district a short walk from the Metro and the Acropolis. It is an easy ride from the airport to the Monastiraki Metro station and then a short walk to the hotel. A taxi from the airport to the hotel is much more expensive. The rooms are nice and clean with a view of the Acropolis. The staff speaks English and they are very willing to answer all your questions about the city, tours and restaurants.
