This hotel is located in a horrible location. Vacant, garage dump lots directly across the street from it. Groups of prostitutes just down the street at night. Strange men lurking around outside at all hours of the day and night. You can't step outside the hotel after dark. The front desk staff was o.k. Not overly friendly. The hotel smells like an ashtray inside. In the restaurant they don't do a very good job of washing the dishes. I had dirty dishes on more than one occasion. The room itself wasn't too bad, however, other people in our group had a problem with ants in their room and a/c didn't work and the front desk wouldn't put them in another room. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone with the exception of a pimp maybe. Research your hotel location thoroughly when you go to Athens and stay away from the King Jason.

The King Jason itself is a clean, sleek and friendly hotel. The beds are clean and comfortable, the bathrooms are nice, and the restaurant is good. However in order to get from the hotel back to the Plaka, you walk through what my students came to call "heroin alley," infested with drunks and users en masse.
