We stayed here for five nights. The hotel is situated just a few minutes away from the Acropolis and the ancient Greek ruins. It is also only a five-minute-walk to the modern part of Athens. The rooms were clean and had a cozy style which reminds you of home. A delicious buffet breakfast was served. The staff was very welcoming and friendly as they helped us explore Athens on our own. “We will absolutely stay here again”. Mark Burns Santa Fe, NM

I was quite disappointed by this hotel. I stayed in another near Syntagma Square for the same rate which was 10 times better. Small, dingy room with a tile floor. No windows. A microscopic bathroom. No desk chair and the fridge didn't work. They replaced the fridge with another that didn't work. Not the best part of town, but very convenient for the subway. If you've no other options, this would work, but I found it utterly depressing.

ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

This hotel is in very poor shape. The rooms are not maintained and the door to the second room we were moved to would not stay locked. Do not book this hotel, there are many other good hotels in the immediate area which were in much better shape. We had to cancel our stay and were able to find a room in another hotel just down the street.

The hotel &#8220;Rio&#8221; was a good choice. The hotel was clean, quiet, and well-situated with easy access to the Metro. The staff was very helpful and English speaking. The breakfast was excellent and the choices were more than enough. The most important thing was that it was very QUIET. It is located right in the city center which made it very easy for us to get around. Overall - a good experience.

Stayed here in December 2008 with my two friends.<br> Delightful, extremely polite service, well worth the money, convenient shopping area and near metro station. <br>Location is close to the archaeological sites.<br>A wonderful hotel with great amenities. It was very clean and service was great.<br><br>Hotel bar/ restaurant are wonderful. Hotel employers are all very helpful.<br><br>Mai Tanaka, Tokyo, JP
