Park Hotel Alcione - Francavilla al Mare, Italy 

Non consiglierei quest'albergo a famiglie con bambini piccoli in quanto io,mio marito e la mia bambina di 3 mesi non abbiamo avuto una bella esperienza. Innanzi tutto per raggiungere la camera dove pernottavamo, oltre all'ascensore striminzito ( la carrozzina ci stava a malapena) abbiamo dovuto percorrere un corridoio dove prima bisogna scendere 6 o 7 gradini e poi bisogna risalire di altrettanti. Abbiamo chiesto una sistemazione più comoda ma la risposta è stata che l'hotel era al completo. Inoltre la nostra doveva essere una sosta di riposo a metà strada del nostro viaggio milano-lecce e viceversa, invece il riposo non c'è stato visto che ci siamo dovuti sorbire proprio sotto il balcone della nostra camera due simpatici cantanti fino a mezzanotte inoltrata. Abbiamo contattato la reception esponendo le nostre lamentele visto che l'hotel era al corrente che viaggiavamo con una bambina di 3 mesi e non siamo stati avvisati che ci sarebbe stata la serata musicale nè tantomeno si sono preoccupati di trovarci una sistemazione più confortevole ma la risposta è stata sempilcemente : "Faremo presente la cosa domani mattina al responsabile della reception"......intanto nè io, nè mio marito, nè la mia piccola abbiamo potuto dormire!!! Tutto questo alla modica cifra di 154€ a notte

Stayed here for 6 nights earlier this month. Booked on a room only basis; we had dinner on 4 occasions aswell as breakfast each day. Very good all round standard - highlights were the excellent meals in the Novilunio restaurant ,the welcoming and helpful staff who spoke some English and the room with a balcony overlooking the Adriatic,admittedly across a not too busy road. The hotel is no more than a 20 min journey by taxi from Pescara Airport and is on two main bus routes which pass close to the hotel.These offer a more relaxing and effective method of reaching the centre of Pescara than driving a rental car.The room was modern and well equipped although with shower only. Sound insulation could have been a little better but this is a minor gripe as is the fact that the rooftop pool had yet to open for the much vaunted "season" despite temperatures of around 28 degrees in early May.Good value for money if not cheap. Perhaps slightly more geared to the corporate market than to the private traveller .We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Well situated for exploring the attractive coastline and hinterland to the south of Francavilla.
