Airden House is situated approximately 5 minutes away from the city centre, York Minster, the York Art Gallery, the York Theatre, the main shopping area and the Tourism Bureau.
York's rail and bus stations are approximately a 10-minute walk from the house.
York has a wide variety of restaurants and bars to cater to all tastes and price ranges.
The River is a 5-minute stroll from Airden House where you can relax in peace or take a boat trip along the Ouse. For golf enthusiasts a course is approximately 4 miles away.
Travel information
By Car:
- Approach York from the A19 (north).
- Follow the directions to York city centre.
- On seeing the Grange Hotel (large hotel) on the A19 at Bootham, take the 3rd right into St Mary's. -
- Airden House is the 1st house on the left.
Alternatively, if you approach via the A59 (north):
- Turn left onto the A1237 York outer ring road (signed for York and Scarborough)
- Follow the directions for the A19 (north) York centre.
- From here, follow the directions as above.
From the A64 from Leeds:
- Take the A1237 for York and Scarborough
- Join the A19 (North), signed York city centre.
- From here follow the directions as above.
