This hotel was ideally located near the shops, attractions, and night life. The staff were very friendly and the bar over looking the river was beautiful. As a previous guest mentioned yes there was scaffolding but in the next sentence he mentions a need of refurb. This is exactly why the scaffolding is there they are refurbing the two top floors of rooms. No pleasing some people. Anyway a great hotel highly recommended. I cant wait for the refurb to be finished in a few months as I will be stopping again.

Hotel in a great location but not worth the money to stay there. We stayed there for two nights. On arrival we were asked if we had booked smoking or no smoking rooms, when we said no smoking they said there were none left so we ended up in a room that stank of stale smoke .We had to change our room after the first night due no the noise. It was like sleeping in a tumble dryer there was a loud droning noise all night and even though the weather was cold the room was red hot and stuffy. They moved us the next day after telling us it was the extractor fans for the kitchen. They knew about this so they should not expect people to stay in these rooms .The next room was old and dated. The bath was so old all the enamel was wearing off making it look dirty and the whole bathroom needed modernised. They gave us a small reduction on our bill for the inconveinience of moving but would not take the whole first night charge off.The hotel is being revamped and not before time by the looks of it.Breakfast was good and most staff pleasant.Would not return to this hotel plenty of other good ones to go to.
