I was not impressed with this hotel. The decor was shabby, you have to request them to activate the heating for your room at reception you can't put it on yourself. The room was so small that when you came in through the door you almost fell on the bed, this was supposed to be a deluxe room. There is no bath in the bathroom, the shower didn't drain properly. It didn't really bother us but in case you wanted it there is no Sky TV. On the plus side, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was good. I don't think I will be staying in this hotel again

We got a remarkably cheap price - ?39 per room - for this hotel which has tempered my views. If I'd paid the rack rate I'd be less pleasant about it. It is conveniently located near the A1 for a travel stop. Bar is pleasant. We didn't eat there, but they had a cheap Lincolnshire "tapas" menu. Separate family room which was a wee bit noisy and boisterous, but far enough removed from the bedrooms not to be an issue. The hotel is a little faded and jaded, old fashioned bedspreads and curtains and carpets etc. Walls were absolutely paper thin (we heard every word the people next door said) and bathroom was basic. Having said all that, it was functional and cheap which was all we wanted on this occasion. Don't spend your honeymoon there! Staff were very polite and accommodating.
