This is a decent, small hotel run by a helpful and accommodating host. The dining room was opened an hour early, just for me - i had early departures every day of my stay. Although a full cooked breakfast was not available at 7:20am, I required only cold cereal and toast. The lounge room was spacious and comfortable. Wifi was available for an additional fee (~£7 for 2 days, £12 for 7) and could be received strongly in my single-bed room. The room featured a comfortable bed, guest-controlled radiator, and small desk with tea pot and biscuits. A small wall-mounted telly received 4 analog channels. The room was also equipped with a small en suite shower room. The macerator pump mounted behind the toilet made a bit of a noise with each flush. The toilet itself seemed to require pump-action to flush... about 5 sharp cranks on the lever before the water started flowing. The shower was heated electrically and although the water was warm, it never got hot. The water pressure was not great, but not bad either. The ends of the toilet paper rolls were folded to a point, like more costly hotels. A ten-minute fast walk will put you at the marina and shops. Your room key isn't locked to a giant 5 pound keychain like so many other hotels do. There's nothing really Bahamian about this hotel that I could see, other than the small photos on the wall of the dining room. It is a good budget hotel to use as a base. I've attached 9 photos. They appear a bit dark because they were taken at night.

Very nice hotel, good location and an excellent breakfast. Both of the owners were very pleasant and nothing was a problem for them. the location is very good only 10 minute walk to the sea front and promenade. We had a family room and it was very clean and had plenty of room for all of us. I would have no hesitations in recommending this hotel to anyone, we shall certainly not stay anywhere else when we return to Torquay.
