We stayed at Mount Edgcombe for one night and found it to be very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was on the tiny side but it didn't really matter for one night. We took our dog and he was made to feel very welcome. The owners were happy for us to leave our dog in our room while we had breakfast which I thought was very good. The breakfast was very good - you can have juice, cereal, a cooked breakfast, toast and tea/coffee. We certainly didn't go hungry! There is parking onsite and the owners kindly let us leave our car after we'd checked out as we wanted to have a look around Torquay. The hotel is just a short 10 mins walk from the main promenade and beach. Whilst Torquay itself isn't the nicest place I've ever been to (too many chavs and chain pubs!), the hotel was very good value and an excellent choice if you want to bring your dog.

very friendly, excelent food , comfortable,new management coping in running hotel by themselves, will stay here next time visiting torquay.
