My husband & I stayed here for a weekend away in January. I can not fault this hotel at all!! The Restaurant & Main lobby has been recently refurbished to a modern spec. The meals we had were lovely, breakfast included although we did have to quite a while for breakfast one morning, but it didnt bother us too much as we were in no hurry. Some of the bedrooms have been refurbished also. We had a look at a couple but stayed in a standard room for our stay. Bed was comforatble & room clean but slightly dated. Hotel is in a quiet location but close to Winchester, Southampton & New Forest. All the staff were very friendly & made a efford to say hello if we passed them in the corridor. Reception very helpful & reccommended places for us to visit. Will stay at this hotel again

We had a fantastic stay at The Potters Heron Hotel which has been newly refurbished to a very high standard.
The hotel has recently changed management and it now represents excellent value for money.
The hotel is set in the beautiful rural area of Ampfield and we had a lovely tranquil stay.
Service at the hotel was very good and the staff could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable.
The hotel is very family friendly.
Food was excellent with a nice wide range menu - something for everyone.
I had stayed in the hotel some years earlier and I would assure anybody that the hotel has been greatly improved to provide 4* level of service and accomodation for a budget price.
I would highly reccomend the hotel and we will come back again for a longer stay.
The hotel is also very near some other lovely villages and its easy to get to Bournemouth from here.
