We decided to have our wedding at the Preston Cross as the location was perfect and we could enjoy the whole day at the same venue without moving around. Would I recommend the hotel to future brides - NO! The hotel cannot organise weddings. To give you a few examples of problems we had: Day before the wedding I received a call asking if we were getting married at the hotel?! Rooms not booked for family members Telephone rang in ceremony Music not played through dinner - I could go on, I have at least another ten complaints! Sorry to be blunt but this is your wedding day!

Stayed here for one night in Oct 2007 and enjoyed the stay.I had a large room - with a double and a single. My collegue had a four poster and a posh bath and I had room 4 which is at the top of the building with almost no headspace in the room. The ceiling is so low you wouldn't want to be over six foot tall. The overall feel is good though.TV that get's the normal channels (no Sky) trouser press and tea/coffee in the room. Good service - very good food at reasonable prices.Nice bathroom - mine looked like it may have just been refurbished.Couldn't work the shower out at all.it made a deafening noise and produced scalding water whatever I turned.Fortunately there was a bath as well. I'd recommend the Preston Cross.
