I booked this hotel as it has an excellent location, reasonable price and appeared to be quite comfortable. Maybe we just had a bad experience but things just seemed to go wrong from the moment we checked in. The staff were friendly, but seemed to be apologizing alot and not just to us. I overheard at least two other residents that had changed their rooms during their stay, one of which was absolutely furious with the room they had been given. The room we were given was terribly cramped, but you do seem to get everything in there - even an ironing board. The main problem was the wall against the rather small window was angled at about 45 degrees and I kept banging my head when getting up from either the bed or the chairs positioned next to it. And I'm no six footer. The air conditioning was blowing cold air against this angled wall making the room feel even more cold and the electronic adjustment didn't seem to work. The room did not have adequate shielding from street noise. The town is quite busy and occasional police/ambulance sirens can be clearly heard. I could also hear some drunken singing going on around midnight. For a business class hotel the Internet should always work. No excuses. Many business travellers want to work in their room and there was wired access in the room. But it didn't work. The signal strength for wi-fi access was so low as to be unusable in the room although it worked in the lobby. I contacted reception and was told that there was no maintenance person working at that time (18.30) so they could not fix it. To be fair this seems to be a common problem in a lot of hotels. But in my opinion, if you advertise Internet access in the room, you should check it actually works in them. We decided to take a meal in the hotel restaurant. There was an "old menu" and a "new menu". We were given both. The new menu was actually made up from two old menus glued together with the current choice stuck on. The old menu had plenty to choose from, but the new menu was very limited. Wine was rather expensive by the glass and my first choice was not available. My wife and I chose different wines and neither was good. I expected better at more than ?8 per 250 ml glass. The food was good though. Service was good. The car park is very tight and when we got there at about 14.30 it was full. We got lucky by claiming a place from someone who was leaving. There were some disabled people staying and they were complaining at reception that they could not find a suitable parking space. They had no choice but to park away from the hotel. I'm sure this hotel has a lot to offer. It's the little things that count in hotels, but overall things just didn't seem to work out right for us during our one night stay. Based on our experience, I would find it hard to recommend this hotel.

Booked for 2 nights B&B. The room was a reasonable size and nicely appointed with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was lovely with a great shower. Housekeeping was very efficient. My only problem was noisy air conditioning that I couldn't switch off completely. However I am a light sleeper and my husband had no problems. The breakfast buffet was very good and had just about everything from fresh fruit salad to full English to pastries. We did eat in the restaurant on the second night and the food was good, especially the main courses, but the wine waiter seemed to be on a go-slow and when he did eventually turn up (after our starter had arrived!) he had our order wrong. To be fair he seemed to be running the bar and the drinks in the restaurant so maybe a staff-shortage on the night. (Order a jug of water from the waitresses just in case). Otherwise the service was very good throughout the hotel.
