Brockwood Hall - Millom, United Kingdom 

We would recommend Brockwood Hall to anyone. From check-in to check-out, we couldn't fault this place. The staff where all very polite and courteous. There was even a take-away menu, with option to have meal delivered to your lodge, with having small children tucked up in bed eary, this was a real treat.The menu was reasonable, and quality of food fantastic. We stayed in the Rydall lodge, this was by far one of the best self catering lodges we've stayed in, everything seemed brand new. There is everying thing there for you. Already booked to go back!

As always I checked tripadvisor before booking. I was very concerned after reading first two reviews, I wish I haddn't read them now. The lodge we stayed in was called "beech" it was fantastic. the kitchen was much better than any self catering i've ever stayed in. and the main point for me wherever i stay is cleanliness. it was clean therefore it was great! the location is good, we loved the grounds & the peacocks! If you go, take a walk down the path after the swimming pool towards the woods, down the bottom there is a hide, just at the edge of the woods in veiw of the hide are an extensive network of badger setts. Next time i visit the area brockwood hall will be my first choice.
