Hotel Lido 2000 - Oostende, Belgium 

Silly me I actually thought that I would get a choice of evening meal, well i was soon put right about that. There was no choice and if you didn't like what you were getting you got an omelette and that was it, there was also no water or juice on offer with any meal and one night they put out coffee but when I went to get a cup I was told "sorry sir that is for desert". If anyone is planning to use this hotel they had better take extra spending money because predict that they will be eating out a lot. That takes care of the food as for the showers they are old style mixer taps and are looking well past their best as are the rooms. I'm happy to tell you that I wouldn't go back near this place if I was getting paid. By the end of the second day the coach party I was with (49 of us) could only talk about getting back onto the ferry so that we could get a decent meal. What a waste of money I would have been better of in a tent.

Stayed for one night on coach tour. What an abysmal hotel, my single room was dark,dingy and very uninviting. The bathroom was appaling, the chrome on the fittings had worn away and were a rusty colour, the grouting on the white tiles was black and the shower curtain was split and grimey, the shower head sprayed what little water there was in all directions. Turned on the light on entering the bathroom and was met with a loud bang and a flash and out went the lights in My room and about three of the adjacent rooms.Breakfast was acceptable but the orange juice was so weak it looked and tasted like water. Good points ? The Bedding was clean and so were the towels, Would I stay again ? Not on your life.
