My cousin and I stayed for four days at the Wellington Hotel. We had a luxury twin bedded room. We had a wonderful sea view. The bedroom and bathroom were a good size, the beds were very comfortable, the decor was tasteful, and, of course, everything was spotless.
The hotel is full of character - it's a Victorian building with landings and small staircases, a pleasure to walk round. Parking is limited, but they're extending the car park and that will make life easier. On the one day I was unable to park at the hotel, I found a space further up the road, which wasn't a problem.
All the staff at every level, including the owner, were delightful. They were very friendly, and nothing was too much trouble for them.
Breakfasts were excellent - lots of variety, and very good quality. On three days we were able to eat on the beautiful terrace, with the sound and the view of the sea.
When we first saw the dinner menu, we thought it looked a bit boring. However, we were wrong, and the quality of the cooking was really good. As a result we chose to eat dinner at the hotel every night. The chef is willing to serve meals not listed on the menu. We ordered lobster in the morning and were served it at dinner - caught a few hours earlier. It was gorgeous!
We would certainly stay at The Wellington again. We cannot recommend it too highly.

After trawling for a hotel for our anniversary I found this wonderful, peaceful and chic hotel a few years ago and went (with our then young) children for a wedding anniversary weekend. They couldn't do enough for us and the children loved it!
Fab restaurant (and what a relief that there were no kids chicken nuggets but proper food for the children).
Lovely relaxing place with a lovely terrace bar.
We have been back many times and at different times of the year and we love it each time.
Bedroom is great for family and the view over the sea is lovely. Plenty of space and comfortable beds.
The service is wonderful and apart from the slight lack of parking it's one of our most favourite places in the world.
