The Hotel is located in Golden Sands, a popular sea side resort on the coast of the Black Sea.Nearby points of interest:
-Aladja Monastery-This is one of the few preserved and accessible rock monasteries in Bulgaria, dating from the early Middle Ages and conforming to the hesychastic idea of silence, asceticism and moral perfection. Monastic cells and a small church have been dug into a sheer rock. Differently coloured 13th-14th century frescoes are still discernible on its walls.
-Balchik Palace and Botanical Garden-The Quiet Nook Palace and its park are placed on area of 35 hectares. Over 3000 plants grow here . It has over 250 different species.This is the former summer residence of the Romanian Queen Maria.
-Dolphinarium-The Dolphinarium was founded in 1984 and since than offers regular performances of talented dolphin artists. Stairways connect the lobbies and the audience hall with its 1200 seats capacity. In the middle is the main pool for performances with 6 metres in diameter and 3 metres in depth and additional smaller pool.
-Pobitite Kamuni (Rammed Stones) are situated 18 km west of the city. The stone figures were formed by erosion about 50 million years ago and hold in various forms of fossils. Many of them were used as places of worship during Thracian, Slavonic, and ancient Bulgarian times.

The Presidential Suite stretches over 2 levels and boasts a magnificent panorama-view over the sea.Each room highlights a private and spacious balcony with a magnificent view over the sea, swimming pool, the surrounding parks or forested hills.
All rooms are decorated in warm tones; mahogany veneered wood furniture and burgundy striped or polka-dotted fabrics, black-out curtains for long rests, ottomans and amber night-lights.
Each room offers hairdryer, bathrobe and slippers, key card access and 24-hour room service and individually controllable central air conditioning/heating.
Bathrooms feature a bath and shower cabin that is spacious enough for two, with a central rain shower or the personal phone-handle shower with flexible hose and wall rail.

Stayed here for a couple of days of relaxation in Golden Sands. Found the hotel last year on travels and was not disappointed. Rooms are good and they seemed to have been refurb'd in the last year...especially like the rainfall showers in the bathroom!
The outside pool looks great, bit cold for my liking...just dipped my toe!. Inside pool great (it's in the beauty area). And it has a table tennis table...hours of competitive fun.
Staff are polite and location is very handy to walk down the steps onto the main strip and find somewhere to eat. The choice in GS is massive and try somewhere different each night.
Brekkie was fine and you could ask for the chef to rustle up smthg not on the hot plates.
All in, good stay.
