Located next to a housing estate, pretty big car park. Didn't feel entirely safe leaving my car there.
Single room - crap telly with not many channels. Room stunk of bleach and there were dirty towels in a heap on the floor.
Bed was comfy enough.
Ate in the restaurant (Italian themed) downstairs. Lovely grub and friendly staff.
Don't think it was worth ?85 a night, but I was only there for 1 night on business so wasn't too bothered !!

Stayed here for Friday/ Saturday night whilst visiting relatives. The room (501 ) was adequate in size and light with windows at the front of the hotel above the entrance. Bathroom was pleasantly decorated and overall the accomodation was clean, if somewhat shabby and the bed comfortable. The first night we both slept well the hotel was quiet apart from the noise of gurgling pipes. The second night there was a wedding in the hotel. We arrived back after a day out to find reception deserted and had to wait for our key so that we could get to bed. Nobody seemed to know where the night porter had gone. Also, Because of the position of the room, we found ourselves right above the wedding party so were unable to sleep until the band stopped playing. Thankfully it wasn't too late but then there was quite a bit of noise from other guests going to their rooms. Breakfast looked impressive and was certainly plentiful, however both of us felt that the cooking oil was less than fresh and it was rather greasy. The dining room was in the bar and rather dark and dingey perhaps atmospheric at night. Several bulbs seemed to be out and one couple even requested a candle at their table so that they could see! We asked for grilled bacon the next morning which was much nicer. Overall the staff were pleasant, if perhaps a little inefficiant at times. (We ordered a bottle of water at the bar and were told that they would have to bring it up to us as they had none behind the bar. Half an hour later my partner ended up having to go and find the barman who was chatting to the receptionist. )There was also a mistake calculating the bill, however this was rectified when it was pointed out. It was not an unpleasant stay and we felt that the hotel offered reasonable value for money, however I think we would maybe choose to use another hotel if our stay is over a weekend, mainly because of the noise.
