This beautifully restored hotel has lots of lovely decor and furnishings to make this feel like a period property. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The hotel is a short walk into town, and the refurbished Avenue de Champagne at the end of the road will soon be quite a walk worth taking. The breakfast room is stunning and serves a delicious start to the day; and the pool area is relaxing and inviting. The room we had on the top floor was spacious, but a little spartan. The bathroom was lovely. Photos of the top rooms look divine. We'd happily come back.

I dont know what is wrong with jetsetter87 (review a bit further down) but we found completely the opposite! We booked a delux room for two nights in May - the room was absolutely beautiful - we had room 31 which also had a lovely terrace with table etc. The bed was enormous and very comfy, flat screen tv and complementary water and fruit basket. We also had the most enormous bathroom complete with roll top bath. I can honestly say our stay was great - the pool is georgous too and heated! We had friends staying in the hotel too (we actually occupied most rooms!) and even though some of them were in the standard rooms (smaller) they had nothing to complain about either! We were in Epernay for an event at the Mercier Champagne House so this hotel was the perfect location - we found plenty to do in epernay and plenty of placed to eat and drink. During the day we took trips to some of the nearby vineyards where the owners are more than happy to show you round. You will not be dissapointed with Villa Eugene!!
