I have been staying at the Devon for a period of time due to work secondment. I have stayed in a lot of hotels over the years and I have never found one as good as the Devon. They have taken care of me as though I was one of the team. I have watched how they look after other guests that stay just for the one night. The service standards are consistent with every single guest. First class....... The rooms are as clean as you will find in ANY five star hotel. The food is Carvery based with an excellent optional menu. these consistent standards are obviousley set as standard operational practices by the General Manager. They do a great job and I cant reccomend the Devon enough. Andrew Keighley

This hotel was excellent value for money, I paid £50 special winter rate over a Sunday night. without breakfast which was an extra tenner. The room was clean, roomy and all facilities in good working order. Had a view to the rear of the hotel and it was very quiet. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful as they were at the restaurant, Carriages next door. I had a meal and drinks at Carriages which were excellent also at a very reasonable price. The bar in Carriages also had Sky Sports for those who are bored and do not want to sit in the bedroom all night.
