Bockshaut details: The interior alone of the oldest German pub in Darmstadt (since 1795) makes a gem out of this restaurant, which already has a long history. In 1580 the "Bockshaut" was founded as a tannery. In 1795 it was transformed into a wine tavern and restaurant, and the sign of the guild, i.e. the skin of a he-goat("Bockshaut"), was chosen as the name for this tavern. Today you can enjoy Hessian tradition in the stylish restaurant, in various banquet rooms or, when the weather is fine, on the cosy terraceunder a vine bower.

We can offer you 4 different rooms (suitable for 10 - 150 persons) and customized arrangements for your conferences. Our technical equipment includes: overhead projector, screen, flipchart, TV and video, slide projector and video camera.

We can arrange your private parties according to your specific wishes. You may dine à la carte, or we serve a complete menu or prepare a delicious buffet. We will be only too pleased to advise you!

Location

Due to its central location most of the attractions of the city can be reached in 3-5 walking minutes. The county museum of Hesse and the House of the History of the City as well as the beautiful park "Herrngarten" are located near to the hotel. The theatre and the catholic church St. Ludwig as well as the regional council are also nearby. Owing to its special atmosphere the historic restaurant is very popular and well-known, even far beyond the town boundaries.
