Its impressive stone façade was brought stone by stone from the nearby village of Oreña and lovingly reconstructed preserving many period features and charm. With exposed wooden beams and stone walls, the hotel is also dotted with antiques complementing its past, including a beautiful collection of antiques clocks and hand carved escutcheons given by King Felipe V.

The hotel is also the ideal setting for celebratory events as it features a large hall. The property is bordered by pretty gardens and boasts a lovely terrace.

The hotel comprises 2 buildings, the main hotel and an annex, 100 metres away. Its sister hotel, Hotel Santillana, is close by as well.

Situated in the centre of Santillana del Mar, a 12th century hamlet with picturesque cobbled streets and manor houses and surrounded by stunning countryside, this is an idyllic spot for a short weekend getaway or a longer relaxing family holiday.
