Oban Bay Hotel & Spa - Oban, United Kingdom 

stayed in the hotel for 3 nights at the start of the july, i would say absolutely fabulous location in Oban with sufficient parking space but you have to reserve one when you book your hotel room and parking price is reasonable (?5/day). everyrthing in the town is within the walking distance from this hotel. Walk to the left towards the hustle and bustle of the town centre and walk towards the right to view the sunset. (provided if it turns out to be a good day). The hotel staff is friendly and most importantly willing to assist at your queries. The rooms are standard but to an acceptable standard i.e. clean except TV being small with limited channels and without a clear reception. But hey who wants to watch TV when on holiday as there are plenty of activities to do here in and around oban. The evening food on the first day on a set menu was okay but for the second and third day it was awesome. Mind you that I am a veggie but my partner suffered the shock for the seafood but only on the first day. May be it was just the chef.....not sure! And not to mention the spa facilities which are reasonably priced. Also the sauna, steam etc...are free provided you book your space.... Hope this helps for the prospective visitors .... Great hotel and outstanding food and I mean real quality food with smart efficient service and friendly staff. Could you ask for more? We first came in February and enjoyed it so much we came back again in July. Rooms are good quality and the hotel location is fantastic. Just wait until you see the view from the lounge across the bay,watch the ferry come and go and have a great time.
