This is a volume hotel and is showing signs of wear eg tape on carpet at lift entrance, shiney carpets in passageways, worn and stained furniture in restaurant. It could do with smartening up. Having read other reviews I booked an upgraded room with breakfast cost ?72 to try to ensure quality. The room was well appointed ( mineral water, robes, iron, etc) although the style is 'old executive'. It was clean and well presented. The power of the shower was excellent and the bed comfortable. The main room area was a little on the smaller side for an upgrade but ok. The room was very warm and their is no aircon so you had to have the windows open. This is a minus because due to the hotels location you get a lot of outside noise. No problems with noise inside the hotel even though they ahd a function on. Breakfast is buffet style;hot, plentiful and tasty only problem my partner found a human hair in her cooked breakfast!! No apology from waiting staff who I must say were thoroughly miserable, smiling cannot be hotel policy!! On checkout brought hair incident to desk staff, apology but no offer of breakfast refund. Overall I would recommend this for a one night stay but not longer.

what a awfull place was due to stay 3 nights checked out after 1 and went to the hilton ! staff ok polite and friendly enough rooms shabby but ok for 3* but it after dark the true extent of the true horrors of this place come to light other guests on floors running up and down corridors screaming and shouting slamming doors and most defnately smoking drugs the 7th floor stank of it situated next to local gay bar the noise is deafening hotel staff unable to do anything about it hotel car park used as gay sex haunt went out for cigar and not impressed with the sights beholden to all - gay men hunting other men in carpark found group of men in what can only be described as an orgy to top it all pub staff emptying bottle skips at 4am - complained to night manager of hotel and he again unable to do anything he told me hotel manager but doing nothing about it - considering the hotel policy is "yes i can "seems the manager should have policy of "no i can't" i would not return to this hotel under any circumstances and would urge all to avoid
