Village Hotel And Leisure Club Newcastle - Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom 

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. Everthing was excellent from the food to the swimming pool. The lesuire club is great and the gym is welll equipped. we ate 2 nights in the hotel in the bar, both meals were excellent. There are plenty of shops nearby. Newcastle town center and Metro shopping center are just a short drive away ( about 10 /15 mins, if the traffic not busy. ) We would defo book this hotel again.

It is difficut not to give this hotel top marks as the only problem we had was the food or lack of it. we entered the restaurant at about 8 o,clock when we promptly ordered our meals, half an hour later we still had not been served. There were less than 30 people in the restaurant which on a saturday night is not very encouraging in a hotel with more than 100 bedrooms. because the bar was so well organised and good quality food was being served we could not get a table. Due to the hotels location we could not find anywhere else to eat before we book any hotel we always read the reviews and due to the comments of other guests we probably should have heeded them Why does the management not read these reviews and adress these problems which seem to appear on a regulr basis
