Stayed here last Saturday night - cost ?86 for a double room inc b'fast. It was terrible, really horrible. Our room smelt, floorboards creaked from noisy neighbours and the receptionist can only be described as gormless.
The breakfast was served in a student bar, complete with torn dirty seats. No one had cleared the breakfast tables.
Stay away - I certainly won't be going back!

this was a bit disappointing. we arrived to be put in the world's smallest double room only to be blown over by the heat in the room - the radiator was on full blast and wouldn't turn off!! Fortunately, the guys were great and without even questioning moved us to another room. it's fair to say that our new room was a hell of a lot bigger which was great, although it was still really noisy with the 'madness' of Jesmond right outside our window.
but the bed was comfy enough and everything was clean. only problem was the bathroom was not that great. there was a hole in the back of the door and the shower had next to no power coming out of it!
in the morning we had a surprisingly good breakfast, but the tables just weren't quite clean enough.
overall, this hotel was just a bit run down......perfect for the numerous stag and hen do's that were about town, but not so great for a couple away for the weekend. next time i think we'll spend just a little bit more to get a bit more!
