What a gem! Booked a night for us and daughter graduating from Lancaster Uni and read the other reviews with interest. What a super stay! The rooms were the cleanest and sinks the whitest I have seen for a long time! The owners are welcoming and charming and our daughter had a twin room whilst we slept on the top floor, up 3 flights beautifully decorated narrow flights stairs! Breakfast was great, full English included and the cost amazing.....?55 for us and ?27 for our daughter. Would recommend it without any doubt at all.

Myself and 4 friends stayed here for 2 nights in Dec 2007.The Hotel was spotless and the Staff who are mostly family members were absolutely superb. Being mid winter the usual maintenance and refurbishments were under way but they did not at all spoil the enjoyment of the stay. The rooms were clean,warm and very comfortable. Its quiet location even though only minutes walk from the town centre and promenade meant an excellent nights sleep with no discernable street noise Security for the hotel is state of the art with key fobs acting as the pass keys tro the main entrance The owners were at pains to ensure our every need was catered in spite of the limited availaibilty of some of the facilities. The cooked breakfast was very very good and the Dining area was cosy and welcoming.All in all a very pleasant exxperience and we shall certainly return
