The Night address: 132 W 45th Street, New York City, 10036

The Night details: Newly renovated upscale boutique hotel located on 45th Street between 6th and 7th Avenue in NYC. Sexy and luxurious, unpretentious and comfortable.

Pied-a-Terre living at the core of the Universe, Times Square, Night has a striking presence in a black and white motif embodying the mood and sensuality of night.

Night's bold design and stark contrast of light and dark mimics the vague shadows that only moonlight casts. Daylight's sensibility leaves and darkness enfolds our nakedness of being. Opulence knows no shame at Night.

Food tastes finer, wine richer and fuller, senses seem oddly sharper at Night, yet faintly hazy around the edges. And at the end of the night, the finest linens caress our skin as we drift into slumber at break of day.

Located half a block from Times Square, this European-style hotel offers hip elegance in tones of black and white.

Guests relax and unwind in the lobby or in the comfort of Nightlife, the restaurant/lounge that is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The hotel offers complimentary passes for yoga and meditation classes at the nearby Chopra Center & Spa located at its partner hotel, Dream in Midtown Manhattan.

Booked The Night based on other reviews on the site. The staff were gorgeous and helped me out with phoning local stores and I had no trouble getting room service at 10.30pm. Stayed in a Queen room which was definitely more like a double bed. The bed was quite short, I'm 5'7" and my toes reached the end. Otherwise the bed was delicious ! Overall as other people have commented the room was small and I put my case on the desk. I was in a room on the third floor close to the piped house music that sings through the hallway. The music got turned off late and turned on early. My window faced out onto a brick wall. It was dark, hot and smelly out there. The airconditioner was very noisy. The bedside lamp had an intermittent electric hum. The time on the giant plasma screen and bedside clocks glowed through the night. Bring eyemask and earplugs. Breakfast is in the club room which is quite dim. Great if you're hungover. Not great if you want to read the complimentary newspaper. Breakfast consisted of toast, boiled eggs, bagels, fruit and plunger coffee. Once again, can't rate the staff highly enough. The room was groovy but unhealthy. It was more FashionTV then Fashionable.

This hotel is not for older people or boring people like phillyn. If you are expecting a generic out-of-the-box business hotel, you won't find it. It is obvious the creators of Night Hotel have tried to make something different and we loved it. Every detail of the room is aligned to this "night" theme. From the nightime clouds on the mini-lcd screens outside the door to the black and white decor inside and the black and white bag of chocolates left on the pillow each night. The extra thick curtains and blacked out room were a positive for us. After a week in LA, we were able to sleep until at least midday every day and after keep our bodies running on LA time which make it so easy to go out every night and enjoy the NYC nightlife. The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds ever. My sore back from the ultra soft bed in our hotel in LA was cured after one night in the Night's bed. The TV was huge with about 300 unique channels. You can plug your ipod into a sound system for some music before you go out. The only downside is the small bathroom that fills with water after every shower. It's a great shower head and great pressure, but needs a door. There also weren't enough mirrors for me, none went lower than my chest and I'm used to full length mirrors when getting ready. Another negative - the breakfast. We decided to try it on our check-out day since we were up early. A few dry muffins and croissants - it's not worth it, I recommend sleeping in. Who wants hotel room-service in NYC? You can order in anything you like at anytime. We got some pizza at 3am one night. Just call reception and ask for the local Inidian/Chinese/Pizza etc. We found the staff to be New York style friendly and were always happy to be greeted by the guy with the long hair ;) It's a walk to the theatre district and also to the 5th Avenue shopping. There are pleanty of gyms in walking distances and the deli across the road is good for a quick snack. Of course nowhere in Manhattan is far from a Subway.
